San Diego County Spinners is a California nonprofit educational organization that has formed from a strong community of fiber artists who have their roots in the Grossmont Adult School's spinning and machine knitting courses, and members of the San Diego Creative Weavers Guild. The San Diego Back to Back team was formed and led by Margaret Tyler, spinning instructor for Grossmont Adult School from somewhere between 11 and 14 years until 2019 and then reformed in 2022 after covid. San Diego County Spinners became a nonprofit in January of 2023.

To preserve and promote spinning and related fiber craft arts for the benefit of the greater community.

We strive to ensure that everyone feels valued and respected regardless of their race, gender and gender expression, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, abilities, disabilities, or any other factor.
